The most controversial musical comes back to Italy with a special Guest.
FIRENZE — The “Rocky Horror Picture Show” is the most seen Musical Show of all time. The first theatrical version was in 1973, but the success arrived two years later with the cinematographic version. The movie was starred by Susan Sarandon as Janet, Barry Bostwick as Brad, Peter Hinwood as Rocky, Patricia Quinn as Magenta, Nell Campbell as Columbia, the creator of the musical Richard O’Brien as Riff Raff and, last but not least, Tim Curry as Frank-n-Furter. The main characters Janet and his boyfriend Brad, should go to their teacher Dr. Everett Scott, but their car stopped “in the middle of nowhere”. After 2 miles the couple found a terrifying house, so they decided to go in and search for help; in the house lived Frank-n-Furter, a transvestite who wanted to create his perfect man, Rocky Horror. Here began all Brad and Janet’s adventures, those ended in a special way.
After a few weeks in Milan, the 2017 theatrical version of the Rocky Horror picture show is in Florence from the 7th of November till the 12nd. The company who performs it in Italy is German and their dialogues and songs are in English. Very good actors compose the cast even if they are not famous. It’s a pity that neither the actors’ names nor the company’s name are written, so that it’s difficult to get any information about them and the show.The most famous songs of the Musical are “Sweet Transvestite”, “Touch-a Touch-a Touch-a Touch me”, and the most famous of all: “Let’s Do The Time Warp Again”. As they decided to speak only in English, to help people to understand, the show has a very special “Narrator”, that is the Italian comic actor Claudio Bisio, who entertains the viewers pleasantly every time there is a change in scenography and in costumes. The show is appreciated very much by the viewers and it is really very fun.
If you like dancing and singing, the “Rocky Horror Picture Show” is the best choice for you.
